Chocolate Chip Bars

1/2 c Butter Or Margarine;Softened
3/4 c Brown Sugar; Packed
1 Egg; Large
1 tb Milk
1 ts Vanilla
1 c Flour; Unbleached
1/2 ts Baking Powder
1/8 ts Baking Soda
1/8 ts Salt
6 oz Chocolate Chips, (1pk)

Cream together the softened butter or margarine and brown sugar. Add egg, milk and vanilla; beat well. Stir together the flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt. Add to the creamed mixture; beat well. Stir in semi-sweet chocolate chips. Spread in greased 9 X 9 X 2-inch baking pan. Bake at 350 degrees F for 30 to 35 minutes. Cool; cut into bars.

Makes 32 bars.
