Chocolate Chip Fudge

4 c. sugar
Pinch of salt
1 cube butter or oleo
2 pkg. chocolate chips OR 1 (12 oz.) pkg.
1 pt. marshmallow creme
1 tsp. vanilla
1 c. chopped nuts

Boil sugar, milk, salt and butter until it makes a firm ball when a drop is dropped into cold water. Stir continually. Remove from heat, add chips, marshmallow creme and vanilla. Stir until all are dissolved. Add nuts and pour on a flat pan lined with wax paper. Cut and serve. Can use peanut butter chips or butterscotch in place of chocolate chips.
