Chocolate Sheet Cake 2 c. sugar
2 c. flour
2 sticks margarine
1 c. water
4 tbsp. cocoa
1/3 c. buttermilk
2 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla
1 tsp. baking soda
1 box powdered sugar
1 c. nuts, chopped
Sift into bowl 2 cups of sugar and 2 cups of flour. In saucepan, put 2 sticks margarine, 4 tablespoons of cocoa and 1 cup of water. Bring to a boil. Pour over flour and sugar mixture, stir by hand, add 1/2 cup buttermilk, 2 eggs, slightly beaten, 1 teaspoon vanilla and 1 teaspoon baking soda. Mix well and pour into an 11 x 16 inch greased and floured pan. Bake at 400 degrees for 20 minutes. Set timer for 20 minutes. When buzzer goes off start making your icing. Melt and bring to a boil: 1 stick margarine, 4 tablespoons of cocoa, 6 tablespoons of buttermilk. Boil, remove from heat. Add 1 box powdered sugar, 1 teaspoon vanilla and 1 cup chopped nuts.
