Killer Chocolate Pie

3 C milk
1 C sugar
1/3 C cornstarch (heaping)
4 Tb cocoa
1 T vanilla

Heat 2 1/2 cups of milk with 3/4 cup of sugar. (Use container that milk won't stick to). While heating, mix the cornstarch, the cocoa and the remaining sugar & milk. Stir this into the hot milk and continue to stir until thick and shiney. Set the boiler in cool water & stir vanilla into mixture. Stir for a few minutes to cool slightly and pour into baked chilled pie shell. Put a sheet of plastic wrap on top so a skim will not form. Put into refrigerator to chill & then top with Cool Whip. This pie will cut and serve better if chilled for a few hours.
